Male Breast Reduction (Gynaecomastia)

In the case of gynaecomastia, excess fat and breast tissue is removed from the male breast area. This is done either by liposuction alone (see liposuction) or in combination with surgical removal of mammary gland tissue (excision).

  • In the week before and the week after your procedure, you must cease taking anticoagulant medication such as Aspirin, Thomapyrin and Thrombo Ass.

  • Nicotin and alcohol consumption should also be limited.

  • duration of operation: approx. 2 hours

  • any drainage tubes are removed on the same day

  • compression vest for 6 weeks

  • no sport, sauna, solarium for 6 weeks

  • infections, wound healing disturbances or sensitivity disorders in the breast area
